The first two weeks of March have been kinder to us regarding my Junior Warden responsibilities. Sarah and I are quite happy that Sarah’s meatloaf and potatoes were well received. I want to give a very special thank you to Lorraine Wilson for her assistance with the stated meeting meal. I could not arrive at the temple until sometime after 5:00 PM. The earliest Sarah could arrive was 4:PM. This left very little time to prepare the meal. Lorraine was the only person at the temple when Sarah arrived. The first words out of Lorraine’s mouth were, “How can I help?” She worked non-stop, cutting up various vegetables and helping with other preparations. Because of Lorraine’s efforts, the meal was ready in a relatively timely manner. Sarah calls Lorraine her lifesaver. Lorraine, we offer our heart-felt appreciation and our deepest gratitude for your invaluable help. Another special thank you goes to Bro. Jose Angulo, who led the entire cleanup effort. Thank you very, very much! We also thank all of you who contributed in any way no matter how small.

The Daylight Degree saw one of our own, Bro. Richard Maddux, raised to the sublime degree of Master Mason, with the combined efforts of five lodges. Congratulations Richard!!! The meal for this event was quite the feast to prepare. Sarah, as expected, designed a well-received meal. Bro. Bill and Suzie Hems were immensely involved with the food preparation. We thank both of you very, very much for the effort you put into this very special event.

The potluck meal for April’s stated meeting will feature spaghetti with a meatless sauce and meatballs on the side. I remind all that this is a potluck meal, so please bring your favorite side dish to share with us.

Family, friends and fraternity. How are they related? How do our friends and family relate to this fraternity? Please tell me your thoughts when you see me or e-mail your thoughts to me.

Fraternally, Bro. Joe Yow Junior Warden
